Echo for Email will allow you to send a message straight from your email account. We will explain how to send messages with Echo for Email in the following steps below.

  • Step 1- Once you are a confirmed user for this service, you may now use Echo for Email. To send a message simply go to your email service for the address you have set up and enter a telephone number in the To field of your email. The format for sending an email to SMS messages is mobilenumber@echoemail.net (e.g 61***********@echoemail.net)

  • Step 2-  To write a message enter what you would like to send in the message area of you email.

Please Note - When you are using Echo for Email there are a few checks you may need to do to make sure that your messages are sent out the way you would expect. We have listed some of these checks below to help you to identify any pitfalls that can occur for new customers using this application.

  • Encoding of email messages - Please check that your messages are encoded in the plain text format. You will be able to find this option within the new message window of any email account.  If your messages are set to Rich text or HTML please change this to Plain text.
  • Email signature disclaimers - Please check that you do not have a disclaimer within any messages you send. If you send your messages with a disclaimer it will also be processed causing you to send more messages that you wish to. To remove the disclaimer please select the settings option based within Echo for Email under the heading Sending. You will need to enter the first line of your signature. Everything after this marker will be removed from any messages you send.
  • Images via email – Please remove any images or graphics from you SMS message before sending. Echo for Email can not process anything that is not a numeric or alphanumeric character.

If you are receiving any notification errors when you are sending an email SMS message don’t worry. Please view our page on common error messages for further information on what these errors may mean and how to quickly resolve them.
